Racette and Glen Avon schools win junior high SPAA basketball banners

ST. PAUL - On March 7 and 8, junior high basketball teams from across the St. Paul Athletics Association (SPAA) region battled it out on the court to determine this year’s SPAA champions.

As the day wrapped up on Saturday afternoon, it would be the teams from Glen Avon School and Racette Jr. High that would fight for the championship banners in both the boys’ and girls’ categories.

With the girls playing first, Glen Avon would come out on top and claim the banner on their home court. The Racette and Glen Avon School boys would hit the court immediately after and Racette would take home the boys’ SPAA banner.
