St. Paul Canadiens skate through first round of playoffs

The St. Paul Canadiens skated through the first round of playoffs against the Cold Lake Ice with a perfect record, winning four games straight.

The Canadiens took on the Cold Lake Ice in the first round of NEAJBHL playoffs, winning the series 4-0.

ST. PAUL - The St. Paul Canadiens skated through the first round of playoffs against the Cold Lake Ice with a perfect record, winning four games straight.

Playoffs started on Feb. 14 in St. Paul, with the Canadiens taking the first win 2-1. A second game at the Clancy Richard Arena saw the Canadiens continue their winning ways, thanks to a 6-3 win on Feb. 15.

The series then headed to Cold Lake, where the Canadiens won 4-1 in a Family Day match-up at the Cold Lake Energy Centre.

The final game of the series also took place in Cold Lake, where the Canadiens secured a 3-0 win on Feb. 20. 

The St. Paul Canadiens will now take on the Wainwright Bisons, according to information from the North Eastern Alberta Jr. B Hockey League. The schedule for the second round had yet to be released, as of Lakeland This Week's press deadline.
