On January 11, 2025 Mrs. Lucille Smith of Elk Point, Alberta passed away at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Allen; children, Danny (Maria) Povaschuk, Allan Povaschuk, Shelly (Jim) Povaschuk-Brake & Shane (Jodi) Smith; step-children, Donny (Nellie) Smith, Darlene (Buddy) Bensmiller & Gwen (Tyler) Morris; grandchildren, Justin Povaschuk, Kyle Povaschuk (Cheyenne), Brooklynn Nicholson, Jaylah Nicholson, Lexee Smith & Jaxon Smith; step-grandchildren, Julie (Ryan) Barnett, Erika (Tim) Child, Jason (Corinne) Morris, Jessica Morris, Lisa Bensmiller (Vern Nolin), David (Krista) Bensmiller, Kurt (Ashly) Bensmiller & Chance (Karly) Bensmiller; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis Hannah; 2 nieces & 1 nephew, Laurie (Ron) Wachniak, Denise (Dave) Fleming & Catlin Thomas; 4 great-nieces & -nephews. Lucille was predeceased by her daughter, Gayle Povaschuk; son, Bruce Wesley Smith; parents, Bruce & Hazel Hannah. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Elk Point Seniors Centre, Elk Point with Pastor Kelly Sibley officiating. Cremation has taken place with inurnment in Elk Point East Cemetery at a later date. A recording of the service will be available by clicking the Live Service tab on our website.
