William Taralson of Glendon, Alberta, passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 40 years. He leaped into this world on February 28, 1984 in Edmonton, Alberta. William was true hearted, faithful and known for his compassion for others. His spontaneous humour and infectious laugh will remain in our hearts forever. He had a passion for nature, and was a skilled strategic gamer. Our love for William will never fade & he will never be forgotten. William is survived by his loving parents, Leonard & Gwen Taralson; as well as his grandma, Pearl Cherneske; sisters, Alexandra Taralson, Priscilla (Josh) Hofer & Elizabeth (Doug) Stirling; nieces & nephews, Dhalia, Anna, Avara, Deklen, Brandan, Briley, Adella, Michaela & Matthew; his loyal beloved dog, Gunnarr; uncles & aunties, Garry (Margo), Lorraine, Larnold (Martha), Brian, Lynn (Terry), Patty (Dwight), Dean (Jodie), Maureen, Pamela (Robert) & Marine; & 22 cousins. William was predeceased by grandparents, Soren Taralson, Ruby Sterr & Jerry Cherneske; great-grandparents, Alec & Annie Wiwcharuk; uncles, Darcy Chambers, John Taralson & Gary Phillips; auntie, Wanda Cherneske; & cousin, Paul Roblin.
A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, January 7 at 7:00 p.m. at All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church, St. Paul. Funeral Rite will be held on Wednesday, January 8 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church, St Paul. Reverend Father Peter Haugen will be officiating with Interment in Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Gifford.
