Ed Stelmach wasn't a Liberal. It was he who created the first carbon tax for the entire country, 18 years ago. The UCP also increased Alberta's carbon tax very much, even surpassing the rate of the federal Liberal's carbon tax. Pierre Poilievre has also endorsed the carbon tax at different times, as an MP.
