CTV is projecting a return to Ottawa for now four-time Lakeland MP Shannon Stubbs.
Stubbs has represented the riding since it was reformed in 2015. While the official results have yet to be announced, the lowest percentage of the popular vote she has received was in 2021, when she won the riding with 69.4 per cent of the vote. The next closest candidate was the People’s Party of Canada’s Ann McCormack, who received 11.1 per cent.
Candidates could spend up to $143,971 on their campaigns, but the most a single candidate has ever spent was Stubbs, whose inaugural campaign cost $97,000 in 2015.
