ST. PAUL - Residents new and old will be able to get to know what the community has to offer at this year's Community Awareness Night, which is set for Sept. 11 at the St. Paul Rec. Centre.

As of Sept. 3, there was still room for more organizations to book a table at the event, which typically draws hundreds of community members who can browse and sign up for programs.

"Over 600 people attended last year," according to Brenda Billo, programmer with St. Paul Regional FCSS. As of Tuesday, there were 43 organizations that had registered to take part in the St. Paul event.

Community Awareness Night will run from 5 to 8 p.m.

"Attending Community Awareness connects organizations with each other and with our community and educations all on the services, clubs, offerings... available," says Billo.

She adds, "Lots of organizations will have door prizes and giveaways, but the best part of community awareness is the sharing of information and opportunity that promotes and enhances the well-being of everyone in our community."

To register for a table organizations can contact the FCSS office at 780-645-5311, or stop by in person.

A similar event is being held in Elk Point on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at the Allied Arts Centre from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
