Lakeland This Week’s Meredith Kerr read Daphné la fée des diamants with Mme. Piquette’s kindergarten class at St. Paul Elementary for Family Literacy Day. Many other parents also volunteered their time reading with students in Kindergarten to Grade 5.
Family Literacy Day takes place each year on Jan. 27. Families are encouraged to spend time with their children reading and doing other activities that promote literacy and pre-literacy skills.
