LAC LA BICHE - Lac La Biche RCMP are asking eyewitnesses to come forward regarding an incident that took place Friday at an event for Lac La Biche Summer Days.

According to an Aug. 4 media release, on Friday at about 3:45 p.m., Lac La Biche RCMP members were on the scene of a Lac La Biche Summer Days event at the Bold Centre when they learned of an incident involving several youth.

While RCMP were investigating the initial complaint, an altercation broke out between other uninvolved parties in the immediate area. As one of the suspects was being arrested, a second altercation broke out, which, as the release states, led to further arrests.

Lac La Biche RCMP are seeking public assistance with any eyewitnesses who were not spoken to at the time of the event. Further, police are seeking those who have cell footage of the event.

According to RCMP, multiple witnesses were seen recording what was taking place, but left before police could speak with them.

As the matter involves youth, no names can be released, although charges are pending at this time. As these matters are currently before the courts, no further updates or details surrounding the incident will be provided by police.

Lac La Biche RCMP are asking for the public's assistance to gather information in relation to this incident - or identifying those responsible. Please contact Lac La Biche RCMP at 780-404-2500 or your local police.

Those who wish to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the "P3 Tips" app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
