ST. PAUL – The St. Paul Canadiens have been eliminated from the 2025 North Eastern Alberta Jr. B Hockey League playoffs after losing to the Wainwright Bisons.
The series ended in St. Paul on March 10, where the Bisons
The series started on Feb. 27 in Wainwright, with the Canadiens taking the first game by a score of 9-4. Game two, which also took place in Wainwright, allowed the Bisons to even things up with a 5-0 win.
The series then moved to the Clancy Richard Arena in St. Paul for game three, where the Canadiens took the lead again with a 3-1 win on March 4. But, the Bisons battled back in game four, winning 5-4 on March 7.
The Bisons used the momentum, winning again on March 8, 5-3 on home ice. Then, the teams came back to St. Paul on March 10, where the Bisons put the final nail in the coffin for the Canadiens, winning 4-0.
But, the season isn't over for the Canadiens. The team will be hosting the 2025 Central Canada Cup from Apri 16-20 at the Clancy Richard Arena. The five-team tournament will feature teams from Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and two from Alberta.
