St. Paul Elks Hall sold

The decision to sell the hall was due to the increased costs of operating the hall, said Linda Kryzanowsky, third vice president of the Elks, adding the volunteer club will continue to operate as usual, and moved to the St. Paul Legion’s building.

ST. PAUL –  Members of the St. Paul Elks club have sold their hall on 51 Street in St. Paul to Jesus the Rock of Ages Global Ministries, a local church group. The St. Paul Elks No. 465 is a volunteer group under the Elks of Canada umbrella.

The decision to sell the hall was due to the increased costs of operating the hall, said Linda Kryzanowski, third vice president of the Elks. “This was the best for our members,” she said, adding the volunteer club will continue to operate as usual, and moved to the St. Paul Legion’s building.

Members of the community interested in joining, or have questions, can also message the group’s Facebook page for inquiries. “Even though we’ve been in this community forever,” some people may not be aware of what the Elks club is about, she said.

Every second Wednesday of the month, the group’s general meetings take place at 7 p.m. at the St. Paul Legion. So, those interested in joining, or those wanting to learn more about the club, are free to attend the meetings.

The club can be contacted at: 780-645-4046.

Kryzanowski said the group looks forward to more craft sales in support of local small groups. She also reminded the community to contact their school as the Elks are still offering scholarships, and applications will close on November 30.

Also, “If there’s any children’s groups in need of sponsorship,” or funding to help them out with their projects, they may get in touch with the group. “That way, we can decide what we need to do and take it from there.”
