ST. PAUL - The St. Paul Municipal Library hosted a Steampunk Tea Party on Jan. 12.

It was an event planned by the library’s program director Monique Poulin that featured activities for all ages and encouraged everyone to come in Steampunk attire if they wished - and many did.

Library volunteer Braden Campeau welcomed everyone from youngsters to seniors, with his wife Kristy offering a variety of special teas to go along with decorate-your-own doughnuts.

Displays of Steampunk books, a huge take-apart-and-rebuild puzzle with gear-shaped pieces and colouring and craft items were available for all to enjoy.

Steampunk is a style of fantasy fiction developed in the 1980s that takes readers back to Victorian times and the industrial revolution that introduced steam powered machinery.
