ST. PAUL – The Town of St. Paul council approved a request for a facility discount requested by the St. Paul Figure Skating Club (St. Paul FSC) for an upcoming event that will draw over 280 skaters to the community.

The Northeast Dazzling Stars Canstate Funmeet & Star 1-3 Interclub will be held on March 1 and 2 at the Clancy Richard Arena, reads St. Paul FSC’s application form for facility bookings and in-kind donations to council.

The club also estimates the event will benefit businesses and recreational facilities in town as the participating skaters will be bringing families to St. Paul.

Town council approved the club’s request to waive 50 per cent of the arena’s booking fees, so the club will be paying $1,030 instead of $2,060.
