The man charged with sexually assaulting a woman during a vehicle test drive appeared in court on Oct. 23 adjourned his matters.
Glen Edward Bringleson, 55, has been charged with sexual assault, forcible confinement, unsafe storage of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm following a Cold Lake RCMP investigation.
According to RCMP, police began looking into the incident, with the assistance of the Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit, after a female alleged that on Oct. 4, Bringleson attended a Cold Lake car dealership requesting a test drive.
An adult female employee accompanied the male on the trip and during the course of the test drive, she was taken to a secluded area and sexually assaulted by Bringleson.
Police executed a search warrant on Bringleson's Fort Kent residence with the help of RCMP Police Dog Services. Electronic devices were seized as a result.
Bringleson was released on conditions including not to attend any car dealership in Alberta, and he is prohibited from possessing a cellphone with photo/video capabilities.
He appeared in the Cold Lake Provincial Courthouse on Oct. 23, and adjourned his matters to Nov. 13.
