VERMILION - A person has been charged after RCMP received a call about possible drugs on someone at the Vermilion Provincial Courthouse, March 17.
The report came to Vermilion RCMP from the Alberta Sheriff's at the courthouse.
"Vermilion RCMP attended and located Frances Meesto, 35, of no fixed address, and after investigation, was found to have a quantity of suspected fentanyl in individual baggies," reads information from RCMP.
Meesto was charged with Possession of CDSA for the purpose of trafficking, and failing to comply with an undertaking.
Meesto was brought before a Justice of the Peace, where she was remanded with a court date of April 7 in Vermilion.
"The Vermilion RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the location of, or sightings of any drug related crimes in the area."
