LAC LA BICHE – On the morning of March 13, Lac La Biche County crews, as well as local residents, were busy clearing snow that had accumulated overnight.
Blowers, shovels, and vehicles were used for clearing and cleaning up the snow.
According to Environment Canada, snowfall was forecast for the Lac La Biche region - and much of the Lakeland - throughout the day, with amounts ranging from 10-15 centimetres. Temperatures were expected to reach a high of -6C with a windchill of -20C in the morning and -13C this afternoon.
As stated in the weather forecast, snow was anticipated to end overnight, then would remain partly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of flurries.
Sunny though colder temperatures are forecast for the region over the weekend, with daytime highs ranging from -7 to -8 and nighttime lows dipping below -20. The Environment Canada weather forecast projected warmer temperatures for the week of March 17.
