Lac La Biche U11 Clippers drop pair of games to Kitscoty Knights

The games took place at Lac La Biche's Bold Centre on Feb. 15 and 16.

LAC LA BICHE – The Lac La Biche Clippers U11 continue to work hard through the 2024-25 seaosn, taking on the Kitscoty Knights during a pair of home games at the Bold Centre over the Family Day long weekend.

The Clippers, who currently sit in third place in their six-team Northeastern Alberta Hockey League (NEAHL) U11 East Division, were defeated 11-2 on Feb. 15 and 10-2 on Feb. 16 by the Knights, who hold first spot in the division.

Just after five minutes into the first period of the Feb. 15 game, Lac La Biche’s Jace Cardinal, assisted by Lane Higgins, shot the puck past Kitscoty’s defenses. Cardinal, unassisted, would go on to score the Clippers’ second and final goal of game at 13:46 in the second period.

Odin Twigge, with assistance from Tristan Fox on one of the goals, scored Lac La Biche’s two goals of the 10-2 rematch against the Knights that took place on the morning of Feb. 16.

The U11 Clippers will pack their bags and head to St. Paul on Feb. 22 to take on the St. Paul Canadiens for a 10 a.m. game. The Clippers then host Bonnyville on Feb. 23 for a 1:30 p.m. match at the Bold Centre.
