Tarrabain Dodge and Lakeland Shell celebrates 50 years in Lac La Biche

The long-running local family business started in 1974 when Anne and Jim Tarrabain bought Lakeland Service & Carwash.

LAC LA BICHE - Being in business and serving a community for half a century is a significant milestone - one that is worthy of celebration.

From July 22-26, Tarrabain Dodge and Lakeland Shell marked 50 years by hosting customer appreciation events. The family-run business was started by Jim and Anne Tarrabain.

Throughout the week, customers who stopped by were treated to various special deals. On Wednesday, Tarrabain Dodge hosted a ‘Spin and Win’ event where customers could win an assortment of prizes that included $500 off a vehicle purchase, a hockey puck set, a free break inspection, as well as $25 Shell gift cards.

The 50th anniversary week wrapped up on Friday with a customer appreciation barbecue from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. During this event, a large group of people gathered inside the car wash area of the long-running dealership and service station to enjoy hamburgers, listen to live music and speeches, and for the cake cutting ceremony, which took place at 1 p.m.
