All NLPS school main phone lines experiencing difficulties

Tuesday Morning: Nationwide phone system issue unplugs NLPS schools

Landline phone connections are out at all Northern Lights Public Schools

Officials with the Northern Light Public Schools are reaching out this morning to Lakeland residents — but not by landline phone — to say that incoming and outgoing calls on the main phone lines to all schools are not available.

Division officials announced this morning that phones throughout NLPS are currently not able to receive incoming calls or make outgoing calls. This includes phones at division offices and all schools.

"The outage appears to be nationwide and we have not been given a timeline for when it will be resolved," stated NLPS spokesperson Nicole Garner.

Other methods

If residents need to contact a school, they can use an alternate contact method, such as email.

"We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience while we work with our service provider to resolve this issue," said Garner
