Archers offer congratulations to each other during the world championships in Lac La Biche.

Competitors and officials from Team Sweden and Team Italy congratulate each others' shots as they take aim at targets on outdoor trails during the 2024 World Archery Field Championships held in Lac La Biche from Sept. 16-22.

The championships began with 250 of the world's best archers from 28 countries competing in the northeastern Alberta community. The world champions were crowned after a two-day medal round final on September 21 and 22.

Officials say the competition is fierce, but the comradery between the athletes is also at top levels.

Results from the games and interviews with organizers will be found on the www.lakelandtoday.ca website.
