St. Paul Canadiens add another win to their record

The St. Paul Canadiens are sitting in second place in the NEAJBHL after a win on Friday night against the Lloydminster Bandits.

ST. PAUL - The St. Paul Canadiens added another win to their season record with a Friday night performance at the Clancy Richard Arena against the Lloydminster Bandits that ended in score of 6-0 for the Canadiens. 

The Oct. 14 game was the last home game for a month, and the Canadiens will hit the road for their next six games. The Junior B team will play at home on Nov. 18 against the Cold Lake Ice. 

The Canadiens came out ready to win on Friday, with a goal by Dylan Lindal unassisted three minutes into the first period. Kolby Miller would get the Canadiens’ second goal of the night, assisted by Matthew McDonald. 

In the second period, Kelton McAuley, Treston Moisey and Jayden Williams would all find the net to push the score to 5-0 heading into the final period. In the third, Jarett Boulianne would get help from Kurtis Labant and Isaak Watters for the last goal of the game. 

The Canadiens are sitting in second place in the league, losing just one game to the Wainwright Bisons so far. The Killam Wheat Kings remain undefeated in their five matches and sit in first place in the North Eastern Alberta Jr. B Hockey League. 

The Wainwright Bisons are sitting in third place, followed by the Lloydminster Bandits, the Vermilion Tigers, the Cold Lake Ice, the Vegreville Rangers, and sitting in last place is the Onion Lake Border Chiefs.
