It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Kay Galas, our beloved Mother and Baba on December 26, 2024 in St. Paul, Alberta at the age of 99 years. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughters, Gladys (Larry), Cheryl (Ron), & Sandy (Tim); daughter-in-law, Jeannene; son-in-law, Ron; grandchildren, Curtis, Nina, Corinne, Marshall (Cindy), Cindy (David), Lance (Janet), Tara (Randy), Venessa (Brad), Layne (Starr), Amber (Brad), Cody (Michelle) & Dyllan (Audrey); great-grandchildren, Kyle, Derrek (Martina), Michael, Brian (Rebecca), Christopher (Shelby), Lawrence, Harry, Elsie, Elliot, Nolan, Savannah, Tycen, Connor, Andrew, Alandra (Kris), Annaleen, Edana (Jesse), Torah, Carter, Danica, Erica, Olana, Harlynn & Elara; great-great grandchildren, Taylor, Nova, & Aurora; sisters, Helen & Stella; sister-in-law, Elizabeth; numerous nieces & nephews. Kay was predeceased by her husband, Harry; son, Russ; daughter, Sylvia; parents, Alex & Helen Wanchuk; brothers, Paul,Nicholas, Nick & Johnny; sisters, Anne, Mary, Marie & Nancy; great-granddaughters, Ella, Sadie, Sophia & Scarlett. A Funeral Service was held on Friday, January 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Reverend Father Peter Haugen officiated with interment in Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Boyne Lake.
